More about Makenna
As a native Oregonian, I have been fortunate enough to have grown up in a community that revolves around athletics and outdoor recreation. I have a passion for movement. Movement can be one of the greatest and most satisfying forms of expression and creativity. For myself, and many others that I know, movement is our release, our sacred place, and our home.
I have played, practiced, and taught a great handful of sports. I played soccer competitively through high school, climbed for fun, and ran on the varsity xc team. After high school, I began teaching Nordic skiing and climbing at Bend Endurance Academy. Nowadays, I am a competitive ultra runner, and skateboard and surf for fun. Through my background in sports I have grown to know the satisfaction and joy of pushing your body to its limits and I have also known the pain, frustration and isolation that comes with injury.
My goal is to use my knowledge of sports and movement to give each client specialized care, individualized based off of how they use their body. Whether they are coming to me for preventative care or injury recovery, I want each client to leave feeling rejuvenated and fluidity in their body.
